I love the people I work with. Because they operate like a smaller company, you will learn alot because you will get to wear many different hats. July 31, 2017 Thank you for the thoughtful feedback.

I hope everyone has a superior weekend! I would have stayed if circumstances had been different.

Key Benefit Administrators Employee Reviews - Glad to hear you enjoyed the training and the opportunity to work from home.

The Company culture shapes the workday experience of each employee. Starting work by answering phones calls from nurses, clients and hospitals to give benefit information and recording all calls. Answering emails and also working calls that could not get an answer the first time they called. The hardest part of my job was telling clients that they would not be covered with whatever it was they were calling about. The people that I got to work with and the friends I have made. Key Benefits, is a company that I sincerely feel is like a family. I am not just a number. I am a person and they make sure that we all are treated as such, from the highest person all the way down. There is plenty of room for advancement. I never thought when I applied 3 years ago that this was going to be my career. I am in love with this company and all that they stand for. I enjoy the flexibility that some have that allows them to work at home. There is favoritism with Management which always causes employees to work harder out of fear. Enjoyed my position until they switched me to a different department due to the most recent layoff. The CEO is innovative and a good man, however they are outdated with their computer software and the speed of getting work completed almost the entire time working at Key Benefits was an extreme hindrance to completing work efficiently and effectively; needless to say, it caused extreme frustration. Really do not believe the CEO was aware of how bad IT operations were. To add something positive, the company has really good training and updates, and they are trying to implement better practices continually. I would have stayed if circumstances had been different. Most positions not all are work-from-home which is a plus for some individuals. July 31, 2017 Thank you for the thoughtful feedback. A new version of the internal system was just released by IT to create efficiency and the team is constantly working to improve the platforms we use to take advantage of technology advances. Perhaps we need to do a better job communicating these upcoming enhancements. Glad to hear you enjoyed the training and the opportunity to work from home. Best of luck to you! I love the family environment and working from home opportunity. The hardest part of the job is speaking to irate callers, who are not familiar with their benefits and educating them, so that they know what questions to ask and making sure that they are clear on their benefits and what has been selected for them by their employer. Worked for the company for over 15 years and was laid off without any notice and not a very competitive severance package. There is no loyalty in this company. It does not matter how hard you work and how good you are at your job because the CEO will lay you off on a whim. The idea never takes off and then he lays a bunch of people off and not necessarily the new hires. As with any other business in the healthcare industry there are tough decisions that have to be made from time to time but they are never made lightly and they are always based on business needs. Thank you for leaving your perspective. Position lacked job security. During the time of my employment, two major layoffs occurred with this company. The first layoff was somewhat expected, however the second layoff included myself with no forewarning given by the company. Work from home opportunities are a plus with this company, however would not recommend the company for a person that is the sole provider or someone that couldn't easily absorb such a life changing disruption.
